What are the dates and location of the conference?

The conference opens with registration and a reception the evening of Monday, May 20, 2019, and will close Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The conference will be held at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, VA.

Are CPE credits available for this conference?

Yes, CISSP continuing education credits are available for attending this Conference.  You will earn 13 CPE credits for attending, with the possibility of additional credits for attending pre-day training.  Proof of attendance will be available for you to submit in order to receive the proper CPE credits.

What is the appropriate dress for the conference? Is the dress the same for the evening events?

Business casual attire or military Uniform of the Day (UOD) is recommended for all conference sessions. Please feel free to dress more casually for evening events.

Where do I pick up my badge? What form of identification do I need to provide?

The registration desk will be located on the third floor of the Waterside Convention Center, connected to the hotel. For security purposes, please be prepared to show proper identification upon check-in to collect your badge and conference materials. A conference badge is required for admittance to all conference sessions, meals, and events, including the opening reception Monday evening.

What is the process to request special services to accommodate dietary needs, hearing impairment, etc.?

You can indicate any special needs you have during the online registration request process so we can make your conference experience as comfortable as possible.

Will I receive a confirmation? In what form? How soon?

We’ll send an email acknowledgement as soon as we receive your registration request. You’ll receive a subsequent email as soon as we are able to confirm whether your registration request can be accommodated.

Can I register for the conference on site?

Yes, but you should be aware that the conference is expected to sell out in advance. In addition, room reservations must be made directly by attendees and should be made well in advance.

How do I register?

You can quickly and easily request registration online. If your registration can be accommodated, you’ll receive a confirmation, and you’ll have a complete conference package waiting for you on site when you check in at the conference registration desk.

How much does it cost to attend the conference?

Attendees registering before December 31, 2018 will receive last year’s registration fee of $50.00.  Beginning January 1, 2019 the fee will increase to $75.00.

Will media be present at Security Solutions 2019?

No members of the press have been invited to Security Solutions 2019 and media will not be admitted to conference events.

Where can I obtain more information on sessions?

We will be continually updating session information on the agenda page of this website.

Will there be an exhibit hall or demonstrations?

In keeping with the educational nature of this conference, there will be no trade show booths or similar exhibits. There will be workshops and a technology center open throughout most of the conference, featuring technical solutions and staffed with knowledgeable business and technical personnel from Telos and various industry sponsors.

What training opportunities will there be?

Several sessions will include practical security tips and be educational in structure. User training for certain Telos solutions is being planned. You can also receive CISSP continuing education credits for your attendance at this conference.  You will earn 13 CPE credits for attending, with the possibility of additional credits for attending pre-day training.  Proof of attendance will be available for you to submit in order to receive the proper CPE credits.

How do I register for sessions?

By completing registration for the conference you’ll automatically gain access to all sessions. You do not need to indicate which sessions you want to attend and may move freely among sessions throughout the conference.

Conference Events

What other events are planned during the conference?

In addition to the general sessions, breakout sessions, roundtables, and meals during the conference, there are additional activities for networking and information sharing in a relaxed atmosphere. These events include a Welcome Reception Monday evening, an evening of entertainment and networking on Tuesday, and a closing happy hour on Wednesday.

Hotel Accommodations

Do I make hotel reservations directly or through the conference registration?

All attendees are responsible for making their own hotel room reservations directly with the conference hotel. Telos has reserved a block of rooms at special conference hotel rates for non government attendees and prevailing per diem rate for all government attendees with valid military ID; however, the hotel has the option to release untaken rooms to non-conference guests as the conference date approaches. You should make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. The deadline for the special rate is April 22, 2019. Details are provided on the venue page of this website.
